The impact of new technologies on the field of health and sport brings with it a series of advantages. In particular, Serious Games are a key tool for improving health care and the training of sportsmen and women, while preventing injuries. This year you will have the opportunity to attend two courses on health: a standard course (3rd- 4th of July) and an advanced course (6th-7th of July), as well as another on games applied to sport (July 5th) at the first summer school devoted to Serious Games for Health and Sport from the prestigious Harvard Medical School, ENTI-UB and EUSES.
If you are a professional in the field of health, sport or new technologies you will be interested in learning about the methodology and the design protocol of these applied games. In addition, both the courses on health and on sport will also include a review of the best examples of Serious Games for Health and Serious Games for Sport and its measurable results; providing training to health and sports professionals in the best strategies for designing, implementing and evaluating these items, as well as sharing strategies for their sustainability.
In addition, it also provides an opportunity for networking among health professionals: doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, etc., companies in the private sector related to the creation of games for health, non-profit associations that are devoted to promoting health or professionals in the university environment. In the case of the course in SGS, this will also enhance the relationship between sport and health professionals, companies devoted to the creation of games used in sport, several bodies and associations that are devoted to promoting them, and also professionals in the university field involved in the design and assessment of SGS.
For this reason, both the standard and advanced SGH courses are designed to raise awareness about the impact of Serious Games for Health on public health and primary care. In the case of the SGS course, the aim is also to demonstrate the impact of applied games on all the strata of the field of sport, both at the level of those practising it and those who design the good practices and perform the follow ups.
Conceptualise, create and share a methodology and a common design protocol in the field of Serious Games for Health and for sport, by studying at the first summer school from the Harvard Medical School.
