WHO THE COURSE IS AIMED AT

The course is directed by: Yuri Quintana, lecturer of the Harvard Medical School, Òscar Garcia, academic director of ENTI, a centre associated with the UB, Daniel Romero, lecturer at EUSES, a centre associated with the UdG.

The course on Serious Games for Health & Sport is aimed at professionals in the field of health, sport and new technologies: Including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, chiropodists, social workers, psychologists, PE teachers, professional trainers and physical instructors, among others.

Are you a technology professional?

  • Knowledge of the medical and health field is not necessary. The aim of the course is to endow the student with enough know-how to be able to form their own criteria about the field of Health as a source of business and cooperation, without entering into the technical operability of the sector.

You will have a unique perspective of how new technologies, together with a good motivational design, are no longer the future but very much the present in the exponential growth that the Sport sector can be expected to experience with the emergence of SGS.

You will gain an understanding of the workings of a sector that has been making itself increasingly felt in the workplace in sports for some years now.

You will adapt to the technological and experiential change that the field of sports is already undergoing, provided by the best professionals from Harvard Medical School and the University of Barcelona’s School of New Interactive Technologies – the first to promote a university degree in Serious Games.

You will emerge from the course armed with practical and group experience that will enable you to start using Serious Games in applications ranging from improving sporting approaches that assist athletes to real-time behavioural statistics based on the different activities.
