Do You Know What the Degree Programme for the First Course on Serious Games for Health by Harvard Medical School Is Like?

The date is getting closer, the first course on Serious Games for Health by Harvard Medical School will be held in Barcelona, April 25th-29th. This course has a complete and innovative programme focused on Serious Games. More specifically, you will be looking at design and development methods, Design Thinking, gamification, game psychology, clinical applications and health promotion. Moreover, you will analyse initiatives such as jamToday and GameJam and their powerful creative methodology, Serious Games applied to business (drug industry, staff training, marketing and product promotion). Finally, you will evaluate the use of this kind of games and their integration to health systems, among many other aspects.

All the above-mentioned is brought by the best teaching team, including Yuri Quintana, Professor at Harvard Medical School and Òscar Garcia Pañella, Academic Director at ENTI-UB (School of New Interactive Technologies). They will lead a unique training, the first one to be offered in Spain that focuses on games applied to health care. Their aim is to provide the professionals in medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and sports science with this applications so they progressively incorporate them into their daily job.

All in all, in this course you will get to know these applied games, through a theoretical and hands-on approach.
